What to Expect at a Little Brothers Social Event

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly offers fun and meaningful social events, typically around a holiday theme such as Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The parties are a great way for our elders to meet and socialize with each other in a festive setting.

For volunteers, parties are a great way to help provide companionship, outreach, and advocacy for isolated and homebound elderly people in San Francisco. Volunteers are needed to help bring elders to the party; to prepare and serve the food; to set up the party; and to provide companionship and conversation.

For those who do not have the time to visit an elder weekly, or who wish to visit an elder in a group setting, Little Brothers has parties every month or two, including at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The pictures below give you a sense of what to expect from a party. If you are interested in participating, please e-mail us.
